Hello! I’m Winner, a multitalented professional with experience in content writing, digital marketing, product marketing, and a passion for growth marketing. I don’t know why I wrote that introduction, but it seems right for this moment. If you are seeing this, it means it’s been a year since I joined BorderlessHR and I have passed my 100-article mark.
Allow me to share a bit of backstory;
My journey as a writer began when I stumbled upon a book by my brother. This book ignited a spark within me, leading me to write a three-part article series on the mind. Encouraged by positive feedback from my cousin, I discovered my writing talent. Armed with a notebook, I poured my thoughts onto its pages. Though those notebooks are now lost, they were the launchpad for my writing journey. I’d eagerly anticipate returning from school to put pen to paper.
Fast forward to when the pandemic hit, I resolved to take my writing more seriously and step into the spotlight. Took courses, got internships, did portfolio work, and In 2022, I joined BorderlessHR as a digital marketing associate, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Why am I penning down these thoughts? I want to share the invaluable lessons I’ve learned from growing in Marketing over these years.
But first, let me take some time to introduce you to what I have been working on for the past year. 1. AI is your Ally
My perspective on AI has undergone a significant shift. While I was once skeptical, my interactions with AI suites like Writesonic, Ubersuggest, Semrush, Hootsuite, and Chatgpt to mention a few transformed my outlook. Optimizing with the power of AI has not only heightened my productivity but has also propelled my growth in the marketing realm.
2. SEO Mastery is Key
To truly excel in marketing, understanding SEO is paramount. I initially underestimated its significance, I thought if I did the usual marketing stuff, paid attention to what my audience needed, and could write a good article or run Ads, that would be enough, turns out SEO is still needed for it all. I have since recognized the magic of SEO and now meticulously plan and research keywords to optimize content effectively. Praise to the SEO god
3. The Power of Teamwork
Trying to do everything alone is a recipe for burnout. I would know, I have been there. Recognizing the value of collaboration and tapping into the diverse skills of others has been a crucial lesson. Embracing teamwork has opened my eyes to the wealth of knowledge available from those around me.
