“I keep learning every day- humility is important, don’t be too proud, be humble. Humility got me this far. Do not despise the days of humble beginnings ”. He said. Giddy boy’s career started when he was called to host events for his university event hosting group “THE CAMPUS LIFE” since then he has gone on to host some headlining events with THE BLITZ in Ibadan standing out as some of his best projects so far. As the firstborn, Giddy boy’s responsibilities are part of why he got focused on this path. “I am the firstborn of two and I realized the fact that responsibility will soon be on my shoulder and I needed a way that was legal to fend for myself, so I decided to go into the entertainment/creative world to find and carve a niche for myself,” He said.
“I was always been a troublesome boy, really jovial, running around the house using stools as drums and forks as drum sticks. Every typical Nigerian entertainer story starts from the church and I was no different, I started playing drums as early as I could remember, then the keyboard from there I started singing and that was how I got in love with entertainment and all that plus I wanted to build a brand and fight sapa” He said when recounting his back story. He enjoyed producing music, watching business reality shows like SHARK TANK, and LION’S DEN, eating, swimming, and listening to music on his off times. He listed JON BELLION, WANDE COLE, TRAVIS GREENE, and JOHN LEGEND as his top 4 music artists.
Giddy boy’s eyes are fixed on getting international “Nigeria as a country dominates the world in terms of entertainment and music. We are doing it already but I feel like it could be better and it could be bigger that’s like my long term goal. I want to be international whatever its going to take, I know it is not going to be easy, but with commitment and humility I know things are going to fall in place for me. I want to be the greatest, it’s not impossible”.Currently Giddy boy is working on another dimension of event hosting. “I want to be working together with my band, where I host events and still carry my band along.”
When asked to advise anyone trying to get started in this career line, he said “People are going to try and tell you you cannot do it. Do not give up and always know that it is not easy, once you start something the drive should be — I have to achieve what I need to achieve. No giving up, no backing down. You should have those things in mind because people will say all sorts of things, but just keep on going. You shouldn’t be intimidated, the sky is big enough for all birds to fly. You can do your own thing without inconveniencing another person ”
